We are pleased to announce that a new bleed control kit has been installed at Café Roux on Coppice Farm Way, Willenhall. This life-saving equipment has been placed in memory of Reagan Asbury, a 19-year-old who tragically lost his life due to a stabbing incident in Walsall.
The installation was spearheaded by both Councillor Adam Hicken and local resident Anthony Barrett. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to increase the availability of these emergency kits, which can be crucial in the event of serious injuries. Café Roux owner Deb Roberts, her daughter Jade Roberts, and Anthony Barrett, along with his son George Barrett, were present for the installation.
The addition of the bleed kit at Café Roux is part of a wider campaign to ensure that public places are equipped with the necessary tools to provide immediate assistance in emergencies. This initiative reflects the community's commitment to safety and preparedness, ensuring that help is readily available when needed.
These bleed kits are useful after events such as industrial accidents, car crashes, and unfortunately, when stabbings occur. We encourage all local residents and businesses to support this initiative and consider installing bleed kits on their premises.
